Jared started his singing career while performing in numerous musicals at Stagedoor Manor performing arts camp. From there he went on to sing with the Hunter College Elementary School Choir in NYC; while singing with them, the choir won 3 gold medals and appeared live in concert with Mandy Patinkin. After performing with "Mandy" Jared needed a break from singing, plus he decided singing was for dorks, but after hearing the smooth sounds of the Hamilton College Buffers he was hooked again, and joined the Buffers. Upon graduating from Hamilton in 2002 he realized he needed a way to meet women and decided to join Ten and Change since a cappella worked in college.
