Tim began his musical career as a member and featured soloist for the Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale, including performances in Philadelphia’s Academy of Music, New York’s Carnegie Hall, and solos broadcast live nationally on Soviet national radio. Tired of wearing a tuxedo and standing motionless for hours on end, in college he joined and became musical director of the Trinity College Accidentals which was not broadcast much of anywhere at all but was really fun. Upon moving to New York after graduation, he joined the Russian Chamber Chorus of New York (more tuxedos, more standing motionless, more performing in Carnegie Hall) as well as Ten and Change, which he has co-musically directed since 2008. Proudest singing moment of all his exploits: singing “O Shenandoh” solo for Fidel Castro in the Plaza de la Revolucion, Havana, Cuba in April 2001. That seriously did happen, you can ask Fidel.
